Tucked away in five acres of beautiful North Kent countryside, The Oak Grove is an exclusive-use woodland wedding and events venue designed for couples seeking a celebration that feels relaxed, authentic and completely unforgettable.

Our summer-only, eco-friendly woodland glade provides the perfect blend of natural beauty and luxury comfort. By offering only 18 dates per year (May-September), we give you exclusivity and a relaxed festival experience, while still offering all the luxury and personal touches you could want for your celebration.

Hidden between the villages of Upchurch and Lower Halstow, and bordered by the historic Saxon Shore Way and the tranquil River Medway, The Oak Grove offers a truly secluded setting where nature takes centre stage. Ancient oak trees, wildflower meadows and peaceful woodland create an idyllic backdrop for weddings, celebrations and special events.

At the heart of the venue is our enchanting living ceremony arbour, fully licensed for civil ceremonies and the perfect setting for handfastings. Positioned on a gentle grassy rise, the arbour creates a stunning natural focal point, with seating for up to 120 guests surrounded by woodland.

Our signature stretch tent is one of the largest of its kind in the region, providing a bright, elegant and weatherproof space without losing the feeling of being outdoors. Unlike traditional marquees or tipis, the interconnected stretch tents create one seamless venue, with dedicated areas for dining, dancing, relaxing, catering and our beautifully restored antique bar.

The Oak Grove can host up to 120 daytime guests and 160 evening guests, while remaining an intimate and welcoming space for smaller celebrations. Although immersed in the countryside, the venue has been thoughtfully designed with practicalities in mind, offering disabled access, generous on-site parking, including overnight parking, and modern facilities that ensure guests can enjoy the woodland setting in comfort.

Our distinctive antique bar is included within every wedding package and serves as a natural gathering place throughout the day. Couples can choose from a professionally managed pay bar featuring carefully selected Kentish beers, wines, spirits and artisan drinks, ensuring guests experience the very best of local hospitality.
