Esseborne Manor Hotel

Located close to Highclere Castle, home of the television series Downton Abbey, this family run Victorian Country Hotel is small and unpretentious. It is set amidst the splendour of the North Wessex Down, close by the lovely Bourne Valley, in an area designated one of outstanding natural beauty. The perfect location for any event.

Our award winning Courtyard Restaurant offers a choice of menus in an elegant Dining Room overlooking our gardens and the farmland beyond. All of our bedrooms overlook the gardens and are decorated individually to provide a luxury environment with a unique feel and atmosphere.

Weddings
More than 60 Brides get married at Esseborne every year. They enjoy a magical day with a wedding ceremony in the elegant Tapestry Room (or in a church), photographs in the mature gardens, a delicious wedding breakfast with their guests and an evening dance party with a barbecue or finger buffet.

At the end of the day, bride and groom retire to their beautiful Honeymoon Suite with a wooden carved king size bed and giant sunken spa bath. Next morning they rise for a full English breakfast with their overnight guests.

Weddings for up to 80 guests can be accommodated in our Tapestry Room whereas larger weddings can be in a beautiful Marquee on the lawn. Weddings can be held any day of the week and prices start from £75 per guest for a wedding ceremony, drinks on the lawn with your photographer, a 3 course lunch with wine and champagne, and an evening finger buffet.

The intimate atmosphere in this small Country House Hotel makes it ideal for companies wishing to get away from the City and their offices to promote clear and positive thinking or just for relaxing. The air conditioned Tapestry Room with natural daylight and french doors opening onto a patio and the gardens, seats up to 20 Boardroom style, 15 U-Shape or 30 cabaret, 50 theatre style or 80 for cocktails or dinner.
